I left Prague to spend the weekend in Ostrava with my friend Aleš. So far it has been quite fun. We went to some pub on the university campus and I have met some of his friends and they are fun and nice. Tonight we will go out again and then tomorrow I think we will try playing golf! One of his friends is like a judge for golf or something like that, and so we get to go golf for free I guess :)
I am getting super excited to go to Lisboa and play some ultimate, hang out with my friends, and have lots and lots of caipirinhas. Bar do Peixe will be like my last big party in Europe, then off to Munich with Mom and Megan to sightsee and then...HOME! Hehehe... the next few weeks will be glorious.

Praha
Where to start...
I left Cádiz one week ago. The last days in Spain were lots of fun but also kind of stressful. I had three exams on the day before my flight out of Cádiz so I didn't get a whole lot of time for goodbye parties or fun freetime. So I left Cádiz with a tearful goodbye to my host family and flew to Berlin. Once in Berlin my friend Sonia came and met me at the airport, we went to her friend Ben's house and drank Caipirinhas and hung out a bit. The following morning Sonia and I did a shopping tour of Berlin and went to a few fun cafes. The next day we biked all over Berlin and in the evening we tossed a frisbee with Ben and another girl, we also played some double disc and that was fun. Saturday morning the ultimate tournament started and I met my team. It was a three day tournament, I played with a women's team and we did not do very well. I still had a lot of fun though. I got to see some of my favorite people who I met at Paganello and I also met new friends. It was really sad saying goodbye to everyone, I don't know if I will get to see them again :( I really hope I do because they are great people and so fun.
After the tournament I went back to where I was staying and relaxed a bit, got my things together and organized my luggage. The next morning I got up and went to the train station and took a train to Prague, that is where I am now! :) My friend Lukas, who I met in Cádiz, came and picked me up at the train station in Prague and took me to his apartment. Then we had dinner and watched How I Met Your Mother for a few hours. This morning he went to work and I got up later and did laundry, cleaned a bit, showered, and then went to the grocery store. I will be here for like two weeks so I am not in a gigantic hurry to be a tourist. I will see some stuff tomorrow I think. On the weekend Lukas and I will go to the town where his mom lives and the village where his dad lives. Then the next weekend we will go to the eastern part of the Czech Republic to visit Alex, the other friend from Cádiz.
After Prague I will fly to Lisbon for Bar do Peixe (another tournament!) and I will get to see more people that I will be sad to say goodbye to. I must stay positive! Seattle in 23 days weeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I am excited to go back home but very sad to leave Europe... it is quite bittersweet.

¡Sólo queda 22 días!
I have been thinking of making a list of useful facts about Spain, here are a few that occured to me today:
Raisins often still have a stem in Spain
Teachers wait until the very last minute to assign projects
Creepy old, shirtless men like to stand in the street while drinking beer at 3PM and tell me that I am guapísima as I walk by
So far that is all I can think of. Besides thinking about this list I have been trying to get homework done, lesson plan, go to class, and not freak out too much about the amount of stuff I have to do.
I was out of Cádiz last weekend in Venice and then Bibione for an ultimate tournament. In Venice I got to hang out with Megan and it was funnnn! And then I went to the tournament, where my (awesome) team won the spirit of the game award :). It was tons of fun. Photos will be posted someday, if I ever finish the stuff on the to-do list.

Agotada
I am back in Cádiz for a few days now. I have a field trip on Thursday to Sevilla with my History of Americas class, then Friday morning the school group goes to Granada for the weekend. So much traveling lately. After Granada I go to Venice and Bibione for a beach tournament. I am pretty excited about it because I will be playing with a really fun group of people: a team from Portugal. However, right now all I want to do is rest. I had to do some translation homework that was completely ridiculous and pointless. Now I think I will get in bed... I am so tired...
This past weekend in Madrid at the grass tournament was fun but I am pretty burned out so I was pretty low energy and kind of grumpy at times. I had to spend Sunday night in Sevilla because we got back to Madrid past 9:30PM and that is when the last train/bus leaves for Cádiz. It is always tough to not get to sleep in one's own bed... although the couch I stayed on in Sevilla was pretty comfy.
A really cool girl I met at Paganello told me today about a tournament in Berlin at the end of May and suggested we go together. I think it is a fabulous idea and have been reworking my summer travel plans to accommodate it; I think it will work nicely. Although I feel super stressed out about money lately. And super stressed about other stuff too, but that is more complicated.
It is definitely time for bed now.

La vida cotidiana
So I am back in Cádiz after a whirlwind 12 day vacation. I had the best time ever, it was soo amazing. Everything was wonderful, I don't have words to describe how happy it made me and how much I enjoyed the entire thing. I am having trouble getting back into the swing of things... I can't take Cádiz seriously at all. 1.5 months left here, then off to travel for a month, then back to Seattle.
I have all of these memories floating around my mind from Costa Brava and Paganello and I can't concentrate enough to put them into words on this blog nor in a journal or anything. Also I feel like if I share it with everyone I might lose some of the joy I am getting from it. It is silly. I will eventually share.
The important stuff: I am safe, I had an amazing trip, I met wonderful people, and I am happy.

Valencia
Today I returned to my Cádiz home from a long weekend in Valencia. It was an interesting experience... Valencia is a really lovely city with a lot of cool things to see. My favorite part about it was the arquitecture, in Cádiz there isn't really any of that to write home about, but in Valencia it was beautiful. And of course La Ciudad de las ciencias y las artes was incredible. It is like a cluster of 5 or so buildings designed by a famous dude named Santiago something, modern art stuff. We had entradas for two of the sites: the aquarium and the science museum. The aquarium was really quite neat, we saw all sorts of marine life and at the end of our visit we saw a dolphin show, one of the most detailed and organized things I have ever seen in Spain. By the time we got to the science museum we were all pretty exhausted from walking and the day before's long bus ride, etc. However, I wanted to see as much of the science museum stuff as I could stand. Of the three floors I looked at everything on the third floor, nothing on the second floor (it was a very small exhibit filled with biographies about people I had never heard of), and maybe half of the first floor. I am satisfied with what I got out of the visit.
After the science and art stuff I went with my friends Britney and David to have food. They wanted paella but I do not like paella so I had tapas. After we ate the three of us walked back to the hotel and Britney and I took a nap. After the nap we awoke and strolled over to the centro comercial (mall) that was basically next door to the hotel. I bought a cute shirt and she bought some shoes, then we went to the grocery store for some snacks. After that we returned to the hotel and people tried to convince us to go out to some bars but we declined and instead chatted with another girl, Erin, and went to bed relatively early.
Let me back track to the beginning of the trip... We set out at 1AM Thursday morning, so it felt like Wednesday night... The trip took forever because our bus driver was nuts. Finally we got to our hotel at noon Thursday. We all checked in to the hotel, got settled, changed clothes. Then David suggested we rent bicycles and ride around the city, it sounded like a fabulous idea to me and Britney agreed so we headed out to find the bike rental place. We paid 10 euro each for 4 hours with the bikes. In Valencia there is an enormous park that covers a huge part of the city, in this park we rode toward the old part of the town. Once we got close we entered into the twisty, windey rodes of the old city and enjoyed the scenery: really cool graffiti, old buildings, pleasant plazas, and many churches. We had some beers and then an ice cream and set back on the bikes. We passed through some more of the old city then decided to head back to the bike shop. David told us the wrong way to go so we ended up way far from the bike place, had to turn around and back track a lot, but finally made it back to the bike rental shop before our time expired. It was a really fun ride, something I hadn't done in a long time. Afterward my bum hurt SO BAD though. It is still a little sore where I sat on the bike seat, but almost back to normal.
Later that night David and I went out in search of cool bars. Earlier in the day we had asked a waiter where the good places for going out were, he did not fail us! We went to the street with the cool bars and clubs and found many. We went in one very trendy bar and danced until 3:30AM, walked back to the hotel, and went to bed. So I was pretty tired for the next day's activities (the museum and aquarium stuff).
Saturday we left Valencia around 10AM to drive to a small town called Baeza. There we had a hotel to spend one night. When we arrived Britney and I decided to be motivated and walk around the town to see all of the touristy sites. We walked for maybe an hour and a half and saw basically the entire town. It was nice and had enough interesting stuff to look at, but small and not really anything important. David and Britney and I went out that night, the club was surprisingly good for such a small town. We danced and had fun, chatted with some Spanish people. Britney and I headed home earlier than David because Spain lost an hour today and we were already pretty tired.
This morning we got up and the bus took us to a town called Úbeda, about ten kilometres away. It was equally as small as Baeza but I think the buildings were prettier and more important and more plentiful. I walked around by myself because most of the group was really tired and bored with siteseeing by this point. I was also tired and bored of siteseeing but didn't want to waste my time there. I saw most of the tourist sites on the map that I had (there were like 30 sites) and I even entered in a small museum of the arqueology of Úbeda. I think I probably got the most out of the visit than anyone else in the school group.
After the short visit we all got back on the bus and drove the rest of the way (at this point 450 kilometres) back to Cádiz. Here I am now, tired of doing homework and trying to get prepared for my three day school week.
Next it is off to Barcelona, Madrid, and Italy - on THURSDAY... so soon!
