A few photos... The one on the beach is from today. The others are from last night. I met my host mom's daughter and then we all went to a bar and had drinks. Having a better day today.

New home

I am in my new room at my host mom's apartment. It is very small. I will take photos and post them soon.

This is so much harder than I thought it would be. I am crying a lot and so scared and sad. I just want to go home and cuddle with my kitties.

En Route

I am sitting in the airport in Philly in a rocking chair! I finally found a place to get free wifi. There were some tears last night and this morning while saying goodbye to my parents and sister. My dad drove Betsy and I to the airport together because she had a flight to Baltimore right before my flight. It was also a tearful goodbye.

The flight from Seatac to Philly was surprisingly enjoyable. I sat by two pleasant old men, it was like being at work but on an airplane. I slept and watched part of a Val Kilmer movie. I hope my next flight is not too terrible. I want to sleep more so hopefully that will happen, though I am doubtful.

I flew out of Seatac at 6:30AM, I get to Madrid at 7:45AM, then I get to my final destinatino at 1:15PM. Veerrrryyyyy long day. The longest!

When will I get to play ultimate again??...

Pre-Departure

There have been many goodbyes from the seniors today at work. Tomorrow is my last day here but many of the seniors only come certain days of the week so they had to say bye to me today. I got flowers and a pie, I'm pretty spoiled. In an hour and a half I will drive to my second-to-last physical therapy appointment. This week is so jam-packed with last minute seeing friends and figuring out what to bring to Spain... Mostly just the former, not so much of the latter. I really need to get on that.

The camera I ordered came in the mail yesterday so I'll be able to share photos of everything as soon as I get there. On Saturday I'll have a new family, new language, new home, new school. Eek.
